3HL Guelph Games to go Sunday at Sleeman Centre

GUELPH – The schedule is set for Sunday’s 3HL Guelph Games three-on-three hockey tournament at the Sleeman Centre.

The tournament is a single-knockout affair and each game features two seven-minute halves.

The tournament is to start in the quarter-final round. The London 3’s are to play the Oshawa 88’s at 3 p.m., Newmarket Saints are to play the Milton Flyers at 3:20 p.m., Guelph Brewers are to play the Toronto Bees at 3:40 p.m. and the Kitchener Lions are to play the Markham Millionaires at 4:10 p.m.

Winners advance to the semifinals at 4:30 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.

The final is set for 5:10 p.m.

Members of the Guelph team include former NHLers Brett MacLean and Theo Peckham and Guelph native Shea Kewin.

Other locals in the league include Chad Herron with Kitchener and Stephen Johnston with Newmarket.

Former Guelph Storm players in the league include Matt Kennedy and Joe Underwood of the Brewers, Charlie Stephens of London, Matt Lyall of Newmarket and Tyler Melancon and Jason Guy of Oshawa.
