Arizona Coyotes select Schnarr in 3rd round

CHICAGO – The Arizona Coyotes selected centre Nate Schnarr of the Guelph Storm in the third round of the NHL draft Saturday.

The Coyotes picked Schnarr with the 13th pick of the third round, the 75th overall pick.

Schnarr, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound centre from Waterloo had 18 goals and 18 assists in 54 games with the Storm in the 2016-17 season. He also had 27 minutes in penalties.

Schnarr had 19 goals, 21 assists and 27 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Storm in two seasons. He spent most of the 2015-16 season with the Waterloo Siskins of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League where he had 26 goals, 28 assists and 40 penalty minutes in 45 games.
