Bishop Mac out of CWOSSA A/AA girls’ hockey tourney

OWEN SOUND – The Bishop Macdonell Celtics were eliminated from the CWOSSA high school A/AA girls’ hockey tournament after dropping a pair of games Monday.

Bishop Mac was downed 9-0 by the St. David Celtics of Waterloo and 5-1 by the Simcoe Composite Sabres to finish 0-2 in their pool. St. David dropped Simcoe Composite in the other game in the pool.

The Norwell Varsity Reds of Palmerston had a win and a loss in the other pool as they were edged 4-3 by the Kincardine Knights before they nipped the Paris Panthers 2-1. Kincardine blanked Paris 5-0.

Tuesday morning’s semifinals pit Kincardine against Simcoe Composite and Norwell against St. David.

Winners advance to the 1:30 p.m. championship game at Julie McArthur Arena.
