Creeks top Dundas to end losing streak

DUNDAS – The Guelph Silvercreeks put an end to their five-game losing streak in the Central Ontario junior baseball league Sunday night at Volunteer Field when they edged the Dundas Chiefs 9-8.

That win followed a 6-2 loss to the undefeated Hamilton Junior Cardinals Saturday at Heritage Green Park.

Sunday’s win was the first for the Creeks since they beat Mississauga Southwest Twins 16-3 May 16.

The results leave the Creeks at 3-6, Hamilton at 5-0 and Dundas at 2-4.

The Creeks are to host the Milton Mets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.
