Crusaders win third in a row in senior hoops

GUELPH – The Lourdes Crusaders recorded their third consecutive victory as they downed the Centennial Spartans 58-28 in District 10 high schools senior girls’ basketball play Thursday.

Jada Codrington led the Crusaders with 18 points while Jessica Mathieu netted 17.

Amy Gray had 10 for Centennial while Riley Edwards followed with seven.


Orangeville 54 Guelph CVI 46

Alicia Bowering connected for 18 points for Orangeville.

Emina Bektic led GCVI with 17.



Centennial 31 Lourdes 18

Jessica Zhu struck for 13 points for Centennial while Maddie Patrick and Joanna Hui each had six.

Ashley Ciccia had four for Lourdes.


Ross 55 St. James 41

Koby Commandant’s 19 points led Ross while Megan Beamish followed with 10.

Grace Mencfeld had 29 for St. James while Olivia Brown collected five.


Orangeville 52 Guelph CVI 18

Marta Suarez hit for 16 points for Orangeville.

GCVI received seven apiece from Gwen Lazarri and Sofia Lucena.


Centre Wellington 36 Bishop Macdonell 30
