Falcons grab first in D4/10 boys’ hockey standings

FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Falcons grabbed sole possession of first place in the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey league Thursday with a 5-1 win over the Bishop Macdonell Celtics at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

The win was the sixth in as many league outings for the Falcons and leaves then two points ahead of the Orangeville Bears (5-1-0-0) and Erin Raiders (5-2-0-0). Bishop Mac is seventh in the eight-team league at 1-4-1-1.

Jayden Bushey had two goals and an assist for Centre Wellington while McCaiden Dixon also scored twice and Ryan Mueller added a single goal.

Trent Diciccio had the goal for Bishop Mac.

Scoring details for the game at Erin’s at Centre 2000 were not reported.

Centennial is eighth in the league at 0-7-0-1.
