Falcons, Royals tie one on in girls’ hockey

FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Falcons and Ross Royals skated to a 3-3 deadlock in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play Thursday at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

With the tie, the Royals remain in first place with a 3-1-2 record, but the Falcons are second and have two games in hand. Centre Wellington’s at 3-0-1.

Cecilia Proctor had two goals for Centre Wellington while Tianna Dietrich scored the other one. Assists were awarded to Allison Campbell, Abbey Zwep, Natalie Beilhartz, Kara den Hoed, Keagan Jeffries and Grace Smith.

Keegan Camp scored one of the goals for Ross while Caitlyn Bortolato was credited with a goal and the other scorer wasn’t reported. Cass Gordon and Aniela Breen each had two assists.
