Graham, Knock Out 3E take Erin Welcome Grand Prix

ERIN – Hugh Joseph Graham guided Knock Out 3E through the course in 44.527 seconds in a clear trip in the jump off to win Saturday night’s Erin Welcome Grand Prix at Angelstone Tournaments.

Graham also had the second-fastest clear trip of the jump-off that featured 10 horse/rider combinations as he took Airborne through the course in 46.955 seconds.

After 10 clear trips in the first round, there were four more in the jump-off. Sam Walker was third on Coralissa with a time of 50.553 seconds and Hyde Moffatt was fourth on Quidans Rubinia in 50.857 seconds.

Also turning in clear trips in the first round were Walker on Acardi Du Houssoit Z, Keean White on Tahiorn, Bhaskar Dasgupta on Zinesse, Courtney Vince on Valetto JX, Nora Gray on Dior and Madison Ride on Laconia 7.

The event attracted a field of 24.

The Erin Welcome, the first meet of Angelstone’s two-event Spring Tour, is to wrap up Sunday. Feature event of the day is the Modified Grand Prix at 11 a.m.

The Headwaters Cup is set for next week.
