Gryphon lacrosse women drop pair of games

WATERLOO – The Guelph Gryphons dropped a pair of matches Saturday in OUA women’s lacrosse play as they were defeated by the Brock Badgers and Laurier Golden Hawks.

The Gryphs fell 12-8 to Brock and 14-3 to Laurier.

Scoring details were not available.

The losses stretched Guelph’s losing streak to eight games. The Gryphs won their season opener over the McMaster Marauders Sept. 10 and have nine losses and a tie since then.

The Gryphs (1-9-1) have two games left on their season, both Oct. 15 at Waterloo. They’re to play the UOIT Ridgebacks (2-7-0) at 9:45 a.m. and York Lions (0-10-0) at 4:45 p.m.
