Gryphon soccer women climb to first in West Division

ST. CATHARINES – Tori Hinchliffe’s goal in the final minute of the opening half was the game’s only goal as the Guelph Gryphons nipped the Brock Badgers 1-0 in OUA women’s soccer play Saturday at Brock Alumni Field.

The goal was third-year Gryphon Hinchliffe’s fourth of the season and 15th as a Gryphon.

The Gryphs dominated play in the game, taking 18 shots to five for the Badgers. Of those shots, Guelph had 10 of them reach the net while Gryphon keeper made two saves for her third shutout of the season.

Guelph leads the West Division at 3-0-2 while Brock is sixth at 2-2-1.
