Gryphons Red U21 women run over Waterloo United

WATERLOO – The Guelph Gryphons Red ran to a 12-0 victory over Waterloo United in Ontario Women’s Soccer League Provincial Under-21 South play Tuesday at RIM Park.

The win was the first of the season for the Gryphons Red following a pair of one-goal losses. It was Waterloo United’s fourth loss in as many outings and all have been at home.

Alexandra Zonneveld led the locals with a four-goal outing while Kylee Szendrey tallied twice. Single goals were added by Monica Sanago, Madeleine McArthur, Kristin Kohlmeier, Abbey Rimmer, Emily Moffat and Sarah Bieman.

Next game for the Gryphons Red is June 18 when they’re to play FC London (2-0-1) at London.
