Guelph men’s squads handed 3-0 setbacks

KITCHENER – The Guelph teams in the Kitchener and District Soccer League’s men’s division both suffered 3-0 setbacks in league play Sunday.

The Guelph Gryphons were defeated by Supersonics while Guelph Galaxy was beaten by Bridgeport Strikers.

Ben Daya, Ivan Posada and Mark Rossi scored for Supersonics.

Ed Zulkoski, Niko Mikovic and Raheem Abioye had a goal apiece for Bridgeport.

Both Guelph teams are looking for their first victories of the season. The Gryphs have lost three times, Galaxy four.

The Gryphs are to play Owen Sound (0-4-0) at Owen Sound Saturday at 3 p.m.

Galaxy is to host Banat Sunday at Centennial Bowl starting at 6 p.m.

The teams are to meet June 21 at Guelph Lakes Sports Fields. Game time is 8:45 p.m.
