Lions even record with girls’ hockey win

GUELPH – The St. James Lions reached the .500 winning percentage mark by downing the Bishop Macdonell Celtics 6-2 in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play Tuesday at the West End arena.

Caitlan Krasinski connected for four goals for St. James while Shannon Green and Kaileigh Johnston each added one. Elizabeth Malone and Kayla Beaver each had two assists and Krasinski and Katie Jones had one apiece.

Devan MacDonald scored both goals for Bishop Mac, one of them assisted by Morgan Boudreau.

The result leaves St. James at 2-2-2-0 and in a three-way tie for third place with the Centennial Spartans and Lourdes Crusaders. Each has six points.
