Locals picked early in junior A lacrosse draft

GUELPH – Three local players were selected in the first six picks of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League’s midget draft.

The Barrie Lakeshores picked Reed Kurtz of the Guelph Minor Lacrosse Association’s Midget Regals first overall in the draft.

The Burlington Chiefs took David Anderson, another Midget Regal, with the fourth pick.

The Peterborough Junior Lakers selected Jayden Boushey from the Centre Wellington Mohawks midgets with the sixth overall pick.
