LoStracco seventh in Commonwealth youth girls’ 800m

NASSAU, Bahamas – Guelph’s Tiana LoStracco of the Speed River Track and Field Club placed seventh in the girls’ 800 metres Saturday at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Tiana LoStracco finished the distance in 2.08.35, cutting about two seconds off her qualifying time Friday.

Carley Thomas of Australia won gold in 2.05.04 while Anna Burt of England was second in 2.05.31 and Aurora Rynda of Toronto was third in 2.06.38

Rounding out the field were Isabelle Boffey of England fourth in 2.06.67, Keely Small of Australia fifth in 2.08.18, Erin Wallace of Scotland sixth in 2.08.30 and Regina Mpigachai of Tanzania eighth in 2.10.57.
