Norwell handed setback in boys A/AA hockey final

KINCARDINE – The Holy Trinity Titans of Simcoe claimed the CWOSSA boys A/AA hockey championship title Tuesday with a 5-1 victory over the Norwell Varsity Reds of Palmerston in the final at the Davidson Centre.

Norwell had gained its berth in the final with a 4-1 win over the Erin Raiders in an all-District 4/10 semifinal earlier in the day.

Holy Trinity dropped the St. David Celtics of Waterloo in the other semifinal.

Scoring details were not reported for any of Tuesday’s games.

Holy Trinity advances to the OFSAA provincial high school boys A/AA hockey championship tournament at Collingwood March 19 to 23.
