OSL Gryphons in draw with Lakeshore United

GUELPH – The Guelph Gryphons battled Lakeshore United to a 2-2 standoff in Ontario Soccer League Provincial West play Thursday night at Eastview Park.

Sebastian Luzi and Ian Walters collected the goals for the Gryphons while Daniel Polanski and Andrzej Antolak scored for Lakeshore.

The Gryphs are ninth in the 10-team league with a 3-10-2 record, but are 3-3-2 in their last eight games after starting the season with seven consecutive losses. Lakeshore’s seventh at 4-6-3.

The Guelph squad has three games to go in its season as the Gryphs are to play 10th-place Wisla United (1-10-2) at Oakville Tuesday night, host fifth-place HNNK Livno (6-5-2) at Eastview Park Thursday at 8:45 p.m. and play first-place HNNK Dalmacija (11-2-1) at Oakville Sept. 24.
