OSL Provincial West Gryphons slip by Wisla United

OAKVILLE – The Guelph Gryphons recorded their third consecutive 2-1 victory as they edged Wisla United in Ontario Soccer League Provincial West play Tuesday night at Oakville’s North Park.

Brett King and Andrew Leplante had a goal apiece for the Gryphons.

Rafal Rosicki scored for Wisla United.

The result leaves the Gryphons at 6-7-2 and Wisla United at 2-7-2.

The Gryphons are sixth in the 10-team league, but are two points behind the three-way tie for third between Lakeshore United (7-4-1), Ebony Juniors (7-5-1) and Club Italia Juventus (7-6-1).

The Gryphons have three games to go in their season. They’re to play Lakeshore United at Mississauga’s Clarkson Park Friday at 8:45 p.m. and the Burlington Titans (2-10-1) at Burlington’s City View Park Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. before hosting HNNK Zagreb (3-7-2) at the Centennial Bowl Sept. 27 at 8:45 p.m.
