OSL U21 Gryphons dropped by Club Italia Juventus

NIAGARA FALLS – The Guelph Gryphons were handed a 6-2 setback by Club Italia Juventus in their Ontario Soccer League U21 Provincial South season opener Tuesday night.

Alessandro Pereira scored both goals for the Gryphs.

Oti Frijole had a hat trick for Club Italia Juventus while Antonio Digiovanni tallied twice and Josh Latham added the other goal.

The game was the first of three in seven days as the Gryphs are to host Hamilton Sparta (0-0-0) Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the Centennial Bowl and they’re also to play GPS Academy (1-0-0) at King’s Christian Collegiate in Oakville Monday at 8:30 p.m.
