Predators U19 Jacks out of provincial A tournament
NEPEAN – The Guelph Predators were ousted from the U19 Jacks competition at the Ontario Ringette Association’s A provincial championships after the round-robin segment.
The Predators had a tie and five losses in the preliminary round.
They tied Nepean 2-2 and suffered five losses, three of them by a single goal. They were defeated 3-2 by Forest, 2-0 by Mitchell, 4-0 by City of Ottawa, 5-4 by Kitchener and 3-2 by Richmond Hill.
Hannah Male scored four times for Guelph during the tournament while Louanna Meloche had two goals and Madison Richardson, Lindsey Carson, Avyn Magnus and Madison Lomker had one goal apiece. Meloche had three assists while Male, Richardson and Amy Aitchison had two each and Carson, Magnus, Abbi Crampton and Rebecca Hayes each had one.
Guelph’s goaltending pair of Keyshia Martin and Kessa Dunlop posted a goals-against average of 3.17 per game. Of the 19 goals they yielded, nine were power-play goals and two were shorthanded goals.
