Reiter claims Gulliver’s Lake Stroke & Stride win
MILLGROVE – Brad Reiter of Leamington claimed the victory in the longest event in the Multisport Stroke and Stride Series’ Wednesday meet when he won the 1,500-metre swim and 5-kilometre run event at the Speedo Foods Stroke & Stride Gulliver’s Lake race at Gulliver’s Lake campground.
Reiter won the race in 39:57.1.
David Sharratt was second in 40:25.2 while Kyle Zammit was third in 40:27.5.
Top female finisher, 11th overall, was Betty Maini of Burlington in 57:23.2.
Garrick Loewen of LaSalle won the 750m/5k event in 28:20.3 while Dylan Pust of Durham was second in 29:07.5. Dominika Jamnicky of Guelph was top female finisher as she was fifth in 34:31.6.
Colton Ross of Waterdown took the 500m/4k race in 25:28.4 while Aliyah Capon was second in 25:31.0.
William Weist won the 300m/3k race in 18:43.6 while Ella Jansen of Burlington was the runner-up in 19:15.5.
Caden Hubers of Burlington was victorious in the 200m/2k in 11:29.9 while top female finisher was Ava Leblanc. She was fourth overall in 15:47.4.
Everett Hall won the 25m/250m event in 2:18.2 while Mia Bales was second in 2:58.7.
Fourth and final meet of the series, the Speedo Foods Stroke & Stride Series Finale, is set for Sept. 6 at Gulliver’s Lake.
