Ross Royals hand GCVI Gaels shutout setback

GUELPH – The Ross Royals claimed their second win in as many outings in the District 10 high schools girls’ hockey season Thursday when they blanked the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 5-0 at the Victoria Road arena.

Olivia Sarabura and Sarah Taylor scored twice each while Keegan Camp had a goal and an assist. Collecting one assist each were Aniela Breen, Annie Lambkin, Courtney Phillips and Skylar Simm.

Caitlyn Bortolato picked up the shutout.

GCVI’s record fell to 1-1-0-0.

 

Centennial 5 Bishop Macdonell 2

Centennial evened its record at 1-1-0-0 with the win at the West End arena.

Megan Rowbotham scored twice while Morgan Dezell, Amy Coppolino and Gabby Durst also scored. Durst assisted on three of the goals while Kathleen Roberts had two assists and Kaitlin Reimer and Elizabeth Schnurr had one apiece.

Chloe Ryan and Kyle Bertrand netted a goal apiece for Bishop Mac while Kendall Cummings, Bertrand and Julia Billings each had one assist.

The loss dropped Bishop Mac to 0-2-0-0.
