Storm silent until third in loss to London

LONDON – By the time the Guelph Storm scored in their Ontario Hockey League match against the London Knights Thursday at Budweiser Gardens, they were too far behind to recover.

London had scored twice in the first period and three times in the second.

The Knights outshot the Storm 44-28 and went 1-for-4 on their power play while the Storm was scoreless on its only power play.

James McEwan scored in the second minute of the third for the Storm while Nick Deakin-Poot added the other goal with 50 seconds to go. Givani Smith picked up an assist on McEwan’s goal.
