Wickens, teammates to start Daytona 24-hour race 26th

DAYTONA, Fla. — Robert Wickens of Guelph and four other drivers are to share the Starworks Motorsport ORECA FLM09 that is to start 26th in this weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Also scheduled to drive the car in the 24-hour race, the opening round of this year’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship are Ben Keating of Tomball Tex., Chris Cumming of Vancouver, John Falb of Las Vegas and Remo Ruscitti of Vancouver.

Cumming qualified the car in a time of one minute, 46.628 seconds.

Fastest qualifier was Jaoa Barbosa of Portugal in a Cadillac DPi in 1:36.903.

A total of 54 cars are to start the race that is to begin Saturday at 2 p.m.
