Another shutout win for senior soccer Lions

GUELPH – The St. James Lions recorded their second shutout victory on their own field in as many outings in the District 10 high school senior boys’ soccer league as they dropped the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 7-0 Thursday.

Kean Lam struck for a hat trick to lead the Lions while Adam Nowakowski, Aaron Nowakowski, Nick Pavone-O’Reilly and Johnathan Hernandez-Gibezzi also scored.

Anthony Cuzen had the clean sheet in net for the Lions.


Bishop Macdonell 4 Orangeville 1

Devon Corbit tallied twice for Bishop Mac while Tyler Grondinger and Ryan Jack added single goals.

Luke Crilly had the goal for Orangeville.


Lourdes 3 Ross 0

Sebastian Porcellato and Luke Creighton had a goal apiece for Lourdes while the other scorer was unavailable. Pedro Aguiar picked up the shutout.


Centennial 2 Centre Wellington 0

Hunter Aldred and Daniel Freitas scored the goals for Centennial while Justin Vanderberg had the shutout.



St. James 2 Guelph CVI 0

Cameron Ross and Mikael Montoya hit for a goal apiece for St. James while Jimmy Welsh recorded the shutout.


Centennial 4 Centre Wellington 1

Harjas Sran had a pair of goals for Centennial while Ethan Glascott and Isaac Hayes also scored.

Centre Wellington’s scorer wasn’t reported.
