Bears, Lions move into tie for third in boys’ hockey

GUELPH – The Orangeville Bears and St. James Lions kept pace with one another in District 10 high school boys’ hockey play Thursday.

The Bears defeated the Bishop Macdonell Celtics at the West End arena while St. James downed the Erin Raiders at the Victoria Road arena.

Both the Bears and Lions moved into a tie with the Centennial Spartans for third in the eight-team league.

St. James and Centennial are both at 3-2-0 while Orangeville’s at 3-3-0.

Shabot scored twice for the Bears while single goals were added by Stratton, Price and Hambly.

Henriquez, Bulyovsky and Moro had a goal apiece for the Celtics.
