Bishop Mac first to beat Orangeville in senior soccer

ORANGEVILLE – The Bishop Macdonell Celtics wrapped up their District 10 high school senior boys’ soccer league’s regular season by handing the Orangeville Bears their first loss in league play.

The Celtics edged the Bears 4-3 at Orangeville Tuesday.

Joey Raso had a hat trick for Bishop Mac while Ryan Jack scored the other goal.

Andrew Paolucci had two goals for Orangeville and Tran had one.

Orangeville, Bishop Mac, Centennial and GCVI completed their regular seasons Tuesday while the other four in the league are to finish their regular seasons Wednesday.

Playoffs are to start Tuesday with the quarter-finals.

 

St. James 4 Guelph CVI 2

St James received single goals from Ethan Bush, Owen Campbell, Riley Mastrogiacomo and Denver Drewery.

Rohin Orbinski and Ben Durbin scored for GCVI.

 

Centennial 3 Centre Wellington 0

Ola Ogunnote connected for a pair of goals for Centennial while Kaiden Providence also scored.

 

Junior

Ross 11 Lourdes 2

Jefferson Brown led Ross with a hat trick while Eric Murison scored twice and David Aggyare-Tabbi, Alessandro Cannataro, Noah Janssen, Cole Robinson, Lorik Sadiku and Kaelon Small each added single goals.

Eisrom Ghebretensae and Milkyas Teklebrhan scored for Lourdes.
