
Blitz score in trios to douse Delhi Flames
ERIN – The Erin Blitz twice struck for three consecutive goals on their way to an 8-3 victory over the Delhi Flames in WOSHL play Sunday at the Centre 2000 arena.
After surrendering the opening goal of the game, the Blitz scored three in a row in the opening period and they also netted three straight in the third period.

Erin led 3-1 at the end of the first period and 5-3 after the second.
Liam Galton had a pair of goals for the Blitz while Joseph Franzin, Maxwell Lightfoot, Jacob Miller, Beni Berisha, Jacob Coulson and Joey Warywoda. Coulson had three assists while Lightfoot and Chris Prejet each had two assists. Jeff White, Galton, Warywoda, Daniel Heelis, Kevin Tuckey and Mike Kri each had one assist.
Wade Metz, Chris Donnelly and Jamie Damisinari each had a goal for Delhi while single assists went to Mike Stolar, Colin Delaet, Adam Laning, Donnelly and Jacob Erwin.
The Blitz outshot Delhi 26-15, largely due to a 13-4 advantage in the first period. They also scored on their lone power play while Delhi went 1-for-3 on their power play.
Brayden Kelso had 12 saves in the Erin net while Trevor Fleming had 18 for Delhi.
Erin (5-12-0-2) moved to seventh in the nine-team league with the win over ninth-place Delhi (2-17-0-1).
The Blitz are to host the fourth-place Tillsonburg Thunder (14-5-0-0) Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Centre 2000.
