Brown goal lifts Union into stalemate with Alliance
GUELPH – A late goal by Olivia Brown lifted Guelph Union into a 3-3 stalemate with Alliance United of Scarborough in League1 Ontario Women’s Premier soccer play Thursday night at Alumni Stadium.
The goal allowed Union to rebound from a two-goal deficit with 24 minutes to play.

The teams had been tied 1-1 at halftime, but Alliance scored twice early in the second half.
Brown finished with two goals for Union while Sydney VanderHoef had the other goal.
Laura Gosse led Alliance with a pair of goals while Jennifer Wolever also scored.
Rachel Yerxa was in net for Union.
The tie leaves Union at 3-2-2 and Alliance at 2-2-3.
Union is to host the Woodbridge Strikers (4-1-2) Sunday at 3 p.m. at Alumni Stadium in the first game of an L1O Premier doubleheader at the stadium. Guelph United (3-1-1) is to play Blue Devils FC (2-0-4) of Oakville at 7 p.m.
