Celtics, Raiders knotted atop girls rugby Pool A

GUELPH – The Bishop Macdonell Celtics and Erin Raiders kept pace with one another atop the District 4/10 high school girls’ rugby’s Pool A as both recorded wins Thursday.

It was the second win of opening week for both teams.

Ross Royals posted their second win of the week to top Pool B.

 

Bishop Macdonell 12 Wellington Heights 7

Noah Carter and Erika Buda each had a try for Bishop Mac while Maja Gadzinska kicked a convert.

 

Erin 66 Norwell 0

Morgan Sadler led Erin with three tries while Daisy Wilson and Sara Haddow had two apiece and Madi Busby kicked three converts. Other scorers were not reported.

 

Ross 99 Guelph CVI 0

Olivia Sarabura struck for two tries and four converts while Aliesha Lewis had a try and six converts. Saneika Patterson collected three tries while Courtney Ing followed with two tries and a convert. Anna Bernardi and Stephanie Svaikauskas each had two tries while Brooke Frasson added a try and a convert and Madison Clements and Chelan Watts each had a try.
