Centre Dufferin all alone in third in senior hoops

SHELBURNE – The Centre Dufferin Royals gained sole possession of third place in the District 4 high school senior girls’ basketball league Tuesday with a 39-24 victory over the Emmanuel Christian Eagles on their home court.

The teams had entered the game tied for third.

Leading scorers were not reported.

At the midway point of the regular season, the Westside Thunder lead at 5-0 and are followed by the Wellington Heights Wolverines at 4-1, Centre Dufferin at 3-2, Emmanuel Christian at 2-3, Erin Raiders at 1-4 and Norwell Varsity Reds at 0-5.
