Centre Dufferin gathers trio of wins in senior girls hoops

ERIN – The Centre Dufferin Royals struck for three wins in as many outings on the opening day of the District 4 high school senior girls’ basketball league’s regular season Monday at Erin District High School.

Centre Dufferin defeated the Wellington Heights Wolverines, Norwell Varsity Reds and Westside Thunder.

The host Erin Raiders had a pair of wins with victories over Wellington Heights and Emmanuel Christian Eagles while Westside had a victory over Erin.

Play is to wrap up next Monday as all teams are to gather at Westside Secondary School in Orangeville.

Top four teams are to advance to the playoffs with all post-season games set to be played Dec. 13.
