Centre Dufferin lone unbeaten team in senior hoops

ORANGEVILLE – And then there was one.

The Centre Dufferin Royals stand alone atop the District 4 high school senior boys’ basketball league standings as they prevailed 69-49 over the Westside Thunder in a battle of unbeaten teams.

Mark Taylor led the Royals with 24 points while Jesse Sterling added 13.

Caleb Horn had 20 for Westside while Michael Panter-Hough netted 11.


Norwell 31 Emmanuel Christian 27

Jake Vanderkolk led Norwell with 10 points while Peter Hildebrandt followed with nine.

Brayden Taekema had seven for Emmanuel Christian and Andrew Vis added six.



Erin 48 Centre Dufferin 43

Ryan St. Denis and Colden Reay collected 10 points apiece for Erin.

Abel Sales had 18 for Centre Dufferin.


Norwell 34 Emmanuel Christian 31

Connor McCulloch’s 16 points sparked Norwell to the win. Xavier Guevarra chipped in with six points.

Travis Vis had 10 for Emmanuel Christian and Alex Thalen gathered six.
