Centre Dufferin Royals all alone in first in senior hoops
ORANGEVILLE – The Centre Dufferin Royals grabbed sole possession of first place in the District 4 high school senior girls’ basketball league with a 50-35 victory over the Westside Thunder Wednesday.

The two teams entered the match tied for first.
Centre Dufferin leads at 7-1 while Westside is at 6-2, the Wellington Heights Wolverines and Emmanuel Christian Eagles are both at 4-4, the Erin Raiders are at 3-5 and the Norwell Varsity Reds are at 0-8.

Haven LeBlanc hit for 16 points for Wellington Heights while Nicole Rodrigues netted five.
Alisha Lorincz and Kyla Warren each had eight for Erin while Morgan Sadler scored the other seven.

Erin Rooney connected for 15 points for Wellington Heights and Alyssa Aitken collected seven.
Mesha Morgan had eight for Erin and Maddy Eisner chipped in with six.
