Centre Dufferin Royals stay unbeaten in senior hoops

ERIN – The Centre Dufferin Royals remained unbeaten in District 4 high school senior boys’ basketball play Monday as they downed the Erin Raiders 62-28 at Erin.

The win leaves the Royals, who had clinched a first-place finish prior to the two-week break for exams, at 7-0 in league play. Erin falls to 3-4.

Gordon Stephens led the Royals with 16 points.

Myles Zappia had 14 for the Raiders.

League play is to wrap up Wednesday.

Top four qualify for next Monday’s semifinals. The championship game is to be played Feb. 15.
