Centre Wellington Falcons soar in boys’ hockey opener

FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Falcons opened the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey season with a 7-1 victory over the Centennial Spartans Thursday at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

Hayden Ireland connected for a pair of goals for the Falcons while Trent Spear had a goal and two assists and Dean Sealey collected a goal and an assist. Brett Harrison, Jack McDonald and Jake Ristov added single goals.

Henry Turner had the goal for Centennial.


Ross 3 Westside 2

Adam Nightingale and Chris Cabeldu picked up a goal and an assist for Ross while Calvin Fogler also scored and Mitch Penner had an assist.

Still and Bayles scored for Westside while single assists were awarded to Rahn and Chung.
