Centre Wellington stays unbeaten in girls’ hockey

GUELPH – The Centre Wellington Falcons remained undefeated in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play Monday as they downed the St. James Lions 13-2 at the Victoria Road arena.

The win was the third in as many league outings for the Falcons who have outscored their opponents 24-5.

Denver Feltham led Centre Wellington with a hat trick while Faith Wilmets, Avery Diljee, Keira Healey and Alli Pettifer scored twice each and Elia Zwep and Abigale Kirk had single goals.

Teigan McDonald and Ava Toscan scored for St. James.

Taylor Meredith had the shutout for the Royals in last Thursday’s game.

Ayla Boothe, Ella Parisotto, Annabelle Docksteader and Ryan Darling scored twice each for Ross while Mackenzie Martin also scored. Briar Wade had three assists while Kaitlyn Broeckel had two and Gracy Smith, Amanda Sarabura, Emma Collier, Emily Crow and Julia Elmslie had one apiece.
