Clinton keeps on rolling against Elora Rocks

CLINTON – The Elora Rocks surrendered four goals in the second period as they suffered a 6-2 loss to the Clinton Radars Friday night in Western Ontario Athletic Association senior men’s hockey league play at the Central Huron Community Centre.

Clinton had led 2-0 at the end of the first period and extended that advantage to 6-1 by the end of the second.

Kevin Tuckey and Graham Kitching scored the goals for the Rocks.

Stephen Sanza, Ryan Murphy, Kurtis Bartliff, Braydon Blight-Royal, Tyler Doig and Zach Graham each had a goal for Clinton.

The results leaves the Rocks 10th in the 14-team league at 7-8-1-0. However, they’re five points behind third place.

Clinton is second at 14-1-0-0, but have the league’s best winning percentage of .933. The Radars have two games in hand on the leading Ripley Wolves (14-2-1-0).

Next game for the Rocks is a match against the 14th-place Milverton 4-Wheel Drives (1-12-0-1) Dec. 28 at the Elora and District Community Centre. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
