Creeks drop third in a row, lose to Brampton
GUELPH – The Guelph Silvercreeks suffered their third consecutive loss in the Central Ontario junior baseball league Wednesday at Hastings Stadium.
The Creeks were handed a 10-7 setback by the Brampton Royals.
Details were not available.
That loss followed a 12-1 loss to the Mississauga North Tigers Firsts Tuesday at Meadowvale Park and a 1-0 loss to the Hamilton Junior Cardinals in last week’s home opener.
The Creeks are at 2-4-0, good for four points. Other teams in the 10-team league with that point total include the Burlington Bulls (2-1-0), Dundas Chiefs (2-2-0) and Mississauga Southwest Twins (2-4-0).
The win lifted Brampton to 3-2-0.
Mississauga North Firsts lead at 5-0-0 while Hamilton is second at 4-0-0.
The Creeks are to host the Halton Hills Eagles (3-3-0) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.
