
Creeks split a pair, lose to Tomcats, mercy Brantford
ST. THOMAS – The Guelph Silvercreeks split a pair of Inter-County Baseball Association 22U game this week.
Thursday, the Creeks were doubled 8-4 by the St. Thomas Tomcats at Emslie Field in St. Thomas. It was the second consecutive Thursday the teams played in St. Thomas, the Creeks winning 10-4 a week earlier.
Wednesday at Hastings Stadium, the Creeks dropped the Brantford Junior Red Sox 14-4 in a match called after eight inning by the 10-run mercy rule.
Individual details were not available for either game.
The results leave the Creeks at 3-1-1 while St. Thomas is at 3-2-1 and the Kitchener Junior Panthers are at 3-0-0 and Brantford’s at 2-3-0.
The Creeks are to host Kitchener Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.
