Crusaders start with win and tie in girls’ hockey

GUELPH — The Lourdes Crusaders opened their District 10 high school girls’ hockey season with a win and a tie in games with the Guelph CVI Green Gaels Wednesday at Exhibition arena.

The Crusaders won the opening game 3-1 and tied the afternoon match 3-3.

Georgina Bernhard had a pair of goals in the afternoon game while Hannah Brohman scored the other one.

GCVI received goals from Kiara Allcock, Emma Pacan and Sarah Hughson. Lexi Hewitt had two assists.

Scoring details from the morning game were not reported.

Chelsea Pergolas recorded the shutout in Monday’s match. Scoring details were not reported.
