Crusaders will finish third or higher in senior soccer standings

FERGUS – The Lourdes Crusaders clinched a finish of no lower than third place in the District 10 high school senior boys’ soccer league with a 3-3 tie with the Centre Wellington Falcons Thursday.

Tyler Allessio scored all three goals for Lourdes while Centre Wellington received goals from Brooks Brown, Krishan Gomes and Matt Shanahan.

With one game to go in the regular season, the Crusaders are third at 4-1-1 and they trail the Bishop Macdonell Celtics and St. James Lions who both have 5-1-0 records.


Centennial 3 Ross 3

Humza Imtiaz, Aladin Erbab and Daniel Baumgratz scored for Centennial.

Reshab Dahal, Anthony Lie and Gray Yates had the goals for Ross.


Bishop Macdonell 1 Guelph CVI 0

John Gorski hit for the game’s only goal.


St. James 3 Orangeville 0

Scoring for St. James were Ruben Branco, Kean Lam and Jesse Chavez-Neves.



Orangeville 5 St. James 4

Andrew Paolucci had a hat trick for Orangeville while N. Kirchberger and Kyle Hooker also scored.

Yarek netted all four goals for St. James.


Centennial 5 Ross 4

Ethan Glascott tallied twice for Centennial and Isaac Hayes, Harjas Sran and Fraaz Kamaldeen added single goals.

Jack Nethercott, Artmir Sadiku, Gatt Pout and Joel Betts had the goals for Ross.
