Eagles double Thunder to start their senior hoops season

FERGUS – The Emmanuel Christian Eagles started their District 4 high school senior girls’ campaign the same as they did last year with a win in their opening game.

Wednesday on their home court, the Eagles doubled the Westside Thunder 26-13.

Trinity Taekema led Emmanuel Christian with 15 points.

Jessica Burnside had four for Westside.

Erin 30 Centre Dufferin 14

Lauren Bailey connected for 16 points for Erin while Katiana Vernon and Kirsty Lewis each added four.

Callista Daly had six for Centre Dufferin and Maisie Mesesnel netted four.
