Eagles remain undefeated in D4 girls’ soccer

GUELPH — The Emmanuel Christian Eagles scored a pair of goals in the first half as they edged the Wellington Heights Wolverines 2-0 in District 4 high school girls’ soccer play Wednesday at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.

Cayla Lodder and Nicole Vandermeulen scored those goals.

The result keeps Emmanuel Christian unbeaten and it lifts the Eagles into a tie with the Westside Thunder for first place. Both have 2-0-0 records.

Wellington Heights is winless in three outings.

 

Norwell 2 Centre Dufferin 0

Kelsey Walker and Maddie Klaassen hit for a goal apiece for Norwell.

Norwell squared its record at 2-2-0 with the win while Centre Dufferin fell to 1-2-0.
