Eagles volleyball girls grab lead in senior league
GUELPH – The Emmanuel Christian Eagles jumped to the top of the District 4 high school senior girls’ volleyball league standings as they downed the College Heights Huskies 3-0 Monday at College Heights.
The Eagles lead the league at 2-0, but are the only team to have played twice. The other six teams in the league have played once apiece.
Emmanuel Christian defeated College Heights 25-18, 25-12, 25-16.
In another league outing Monday, the Norwell Varsity Reds swept the Westside Thunder 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-15).
