
Elora Rocks collect third victory over Erin Blitz
ELORA – The Elora Rocks scored twice in each of the first two periods to down the Erin Blitz 4-1 in WOSHL play Friday night at the Elora and District Community Centre.
It was the third meeting of the season between the defending champion Rocks and expansion Blitz. The Rocks won all three as they prevailed 15-2 in the league’s season opener Sept. 30 at Elora and 8-2 at Erin Oct. 15.

Spencer Gourlay, Chad Herron, Brendan Woods and Blaize Bridges had a goal apiece for the Rocks Friday while Charlie Stephens had a pair of assists. Single assists were awarded to Herron, Bridges, Woods and Matteo Condotta.
Jacob Miller had a power-play goal for the Blitz at 9:05 of the third period. Jeff White assisted on the goal.
Craig Byford had 40 saves in net for Elora while Brayden Kelso had 33 saves for Erin.
The result leaves the Rocks at 6-0-0 and the Blitz at 0-4-0.
The Rocks are to play the Plattsville Lakers at Plattsville Sunday at 3:30 p.m. while the Blitz are to play the Delhi Flames at Delhi next Saturday at 8 p.m.
