Emmanuel Christian senior hoopsters join two-win group

FERGUS — The Emmanuel Christian Eagles joined three other District 4 high school senior girls’ basketball teams with their second win of the season Wednesday when the Eagles dropped the Norwell Varsity Reds 41-10.

Trinity Taekema had 17 points for Emmanuel Christian while T. Bouwers added eight.

Erin Raiders and Wellington Heights Wolverines each had 2-0 records while the Centre Dufferin Royals and Emmanuel Christian are both at 2-1. Norwell and Westside Thunder are both at 0-3.

Monday, Samantha Foreman and Emma Warren collected eight points apiece for Erin while Rosemary Valentine had six.

Kenzie Vandermeer and Reese Muller had three each for Norwell.

Monday, Leah Richardson struck for 24 points for Wellington Heights while Brynne Tangany netted eight.

Jessica Burnside had six for Westside while Cynthia Nicholls collected three.
