
Erin Blitz yield seven goals to Delhi for fifth loss
DELHI – The Erin Blitz continue to look for their first win in their first season in the WOSHL following a 7-5 loss to the Delhi Flames Saturday night at the Delhi arena.
Delhi shot ahead in the second period as the teams had been tied 2-2 at the end of the first before the fellow expansion Flames went ahead 5-3 by the end of the second.

Jacob Miller had three goals and an assist for the Blitz while Chris Prejet and Liam Galton each had a goal and an assist. Single assists were awarded to Sean Caruso, Liam Silva, Jeff White and Daniel Heelis.
Delhi received single goals from Greg Huszarik, Chris Donnelly, Quinn Van Boekel, Jamie Damisinari, Kyle Vigar, Jacob Erwin and Clay Donnelly. Brendan Briggs and Clay Donnelly each had two assists while Dimitri Carvalho, Mason Cromwell, Van Boekel, Damisinari, Brady Vanymeren and Erwin each had one.
Kodie Oudevshaar picked up the win in the Delhi net with 33 saves while Steven Horvat and Brayden Kelso split time in the Blitz net. Horvat started and had 11 saves until he was replaced by at 2:33 of the second period. Kelso had 32 saves in the remainder of the game.
The result leaves Delhi sixth at 2-5-0-0 and the Blitz tied for eighth at 0-5-0-0.
The Blitz have two games on their schedule next weekend as they’re to play the Stratford Fighting Irish (4-2-0-0) at Stratford’s William Allman arena Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and host the Tillsonburg Thunder (5-1-0-0) Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Erin’s Centre 2000.
