Erin Raiders up to third in senior hoops

ERIN – The Erin Raiders stand all alone in third place in the District 4 high school senior boys’ basketball league following a 40-26 victory over the Norwell Varsity Reds Wednesday.

The result leaves Erin in third at 3-4 and Norwell fifth at 0-7. With one week to go in the regular season after the two-week break for exams, Erin will finish either third or fourth and Norwell is assured of a fifth-place finish.

Ethan Smith had 20 points for Erin and Dawson Benjamins scored 16 for Norwell.

 

Emmanuel Christian 54 Wellington Heights 35

Emmanuel Christian is second at 5-1. Trailing only 6-0 Centre Dufferin. Those two teams will finish in the top two positions.

Wellington Heights is fourth at 2-4 and will finish either third or fourth.

Erin 35 Norwell 21

Oliver Zappia led Erin with 12 points.

Connor McCulloch netted nine for Norwell.

 

Emmanuel Christian 47 Wellington Heights 40

Curtis VanWoudenberg hit for 18 points for Emmanuel Christian and Cameron VanWoudenberg followed with 10.

Carson Muir had 10 for Wellington Heights and Brandon Towell added seven.

 

Centre Dufferin 65 Westside 34

T. Crawford collected 15 for Centre Dufferin and N Isaac had 13.

Noah MacDonald led Westside with 12.
