Falcons add another victory in D10 girls’ hockey
FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Falcons skated to another one-sided victory in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play Thursday as they blanked the Lourdes Crusaders 8-0 at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
The Falcons are the defending league champions as they won the title in both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. There was no league play the last two seasons due to the pandemic.
Abigale Kirk had a hat trick while Olivia Kosempel had a pair of goals. Single goals were netted by Campbell Lean, Shaelin Drexler and Yasmin Morreau. Alli Pettifer and Jadynn McCracken each had two assists while Avery Diljee, Kosempel, Ellen Bouwman, Keira Healey and Denver Feltham each had one assist.
The Falcons have won all five league games they’ve played this season. Centre Wellington is the lone undefeated team in the six-team league.
